Selected Audio Works

The Association Age (2022) follows three characters through time as they each vie for power, attention, and justice in the age of Idea Capitalism.

The work was created to serve as the audio environment for Bobo’s 2022 Solo Exhibition at O’Flaherty’s.

  • Music and Effects Sourcing, Compositing, Music Composition.

  • EQ, Volume, Effects modulation using Hyperdraw.

  • Script Writing, Script Editing, Creative Direction.

  • Sculpting with AI voices, phonetic spellings to cheat pronunciation limits, voice tool: Resemble AI.

  • Embracing and intentionally prompting AI hallucinations, leaning into and making them a part of the final solution.

  • Part I was played in the main space (pictured above). Part II and Part III where played in separate rooms and were both exhibited with videos.

SkyFloor (2021) takes viewers on a journey through the Masters Thesis Show of the Architecture Internship Program at The SkyFloor School.

This work was exhibited as an installation at NADA x Foreland which was organized by NADA member and artist, Jesse Greenberg. Bobo fabricated an Architecture School and Thesis Show, complete with architectural models, proposals, as well as a promotional video.

  • Phonetic spellings with AI voice to achieve correct name pronunciations.

  • Music composition in the style of Philip Glass.

  • Script Writing, Storyboarding & Concepts, Script Editing, Creative Direction.

  • In addition to audio work, I engineered a clamp system which allowed us to tackle the unique installation in the bridge.

Angry Water (2020) presents an absurdist, wildly misinformed, and occasionally vulgar debate between two colleagues about the meaning of water and other inane theories and philosophies.

It was exhibited as part of wall work at Massimo De Carlo for Junque, as show curated by artist, Jamian Juliano Villani. Myself and fellow Bobo member, Drew Gillespie, wrote and performed the script.

  • Script Writing, Script Editing, Creative Direction, Vocal Recording, Music Composition, Sound Design.

  • Live audio solution for exhibition, seamless integration into wall work.

  • Hundreds of clips sourced for FX library, following conceptual guidelines, utilizing clips of the Shepard Tone or a Tea Kettle Whistle to directly illustrate anger waves.

Hellbox (2018) takes art goers on a trip through hell as they’re slowly eaten by de-aging, haunted Bobo. With sadistic guidance from a demon god steroid cow, Bobo devolves from adults, to teens, and finally into cannibalistic babies.

It was exhibited as a “tactile Horror Experience, a sensation space in total darkness” wall work at Marinaro Gallery for Fear Faire, a group show curated by artist, Nathaniel DeLarge. Viewers were required to be blindfolded for entry and given a media player and headphones to accompany them through their experience.

  • Music composition, Sound design, Vocal effects

  • Selected sources: Animals (Hyena, Walrus), Movies (Lord of Illusions, Prince of Darkness), ASMR videos (Biting into things, Teeth sounds)

  • In addition to creating the audio component, I also co-designed the entry way and assisted with the install and de-install of the “Tunnel”

  • On opening night, I helped viewers with blindfolds and media gear.
